Linking To SILCNet
 
 
If you would like to link your server to our SILC Network you may contact us and tell us about your server. Please follow the instructions below on linking requests.
 


Linking
 
We do not provide any form that you could fill to request for linking. Only way to request for linking is to procede as follows:
 
- Your server must be up and running.
 
- Your server must have static IP and FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name).
 
- Your server must be public, so that anyone can freely connect to it. It must be running on port 706.
 
- Send the linking request to server-links@silcnet.org email address.
 
- Tell us about your server. The hardware, software, link to Internet, number of users, intended usage, why you would like to link, your real name, contact information, and other relevant information.
 
- Wait until we process your request. Do not try to connect to the router before we give you permission to do so. Connecting without permission will not get your server linked.
 
- If your server is to be linked, you will receive further instructions.
 
 
Servers Wanted
 
A few regions in the world are still lacking a SILC server. If you are running a SILC server in the following regions, please contact us for linking request: South America, Middle-East, Asia, South-East Asia, Australia.
